About:
For the first time ever – and just in time for our 10th anniversary – My Cause UK will be providing volunteers at the most iconic festival on earth!
This isn’t just about getting to the festival. It’s about being part of something bigger…
Glastonbury is about more than music, it’s about culture, activism, and connection. To be a part of it, especially in our tenth year, is something truly special.
For a decade, we’ve been on a mission to turn festival volunteering into a force for good. And now, we’re bringing that energy, community, and impact to one of the most legendary festivals in the world.
Every shift our volunteers complete at Glastonbury will raise money for a charity of their choice, with plenty of time off to enjoy the show!
This is a HUGE milestone for us, and we can’t wait to share it with our community. You’ve helped us grow over the past decade – now let’s make history together.
Lineup: The 1975, Neil Young, Olivia Rodrigo, Biffy Clyro, Charli XCX, The Prodigy and so much more!
Roles and Responsibilities: Internal Traffic Management
My Cause UK is on the lookout for confident, quick-thinking volunteers to join our Internal Traffic Management team at Glastonbury Festival 2025.
In this vital role, you’ll be stationed in the thick of the action, helping to direct vehicles and pedestrians safely and smoothly through the site. It will be up to you, with the support of the wider festival team to ensure everything keeps moving safely, in what will often be a fast-paced and ever-changing environment.
This role is hands-on and high-energy. You’ll need to stay sharp, be assertive, and take initiative in busy and crowded environments. Whether you’re overseeing key access points, managing vehicle flow in busy zones or helping drivers safely find their way to their destination, your role is crucial to keeping the festival site safe and operational.
We need volunteers who are confident talking to lots of people, ideally in a big loud voice from the first to the last minute of your shift. Due to the nature of this volunteering opportunity, you will be required to be on your feet for the duration of your shift (we will of course organise breaks to help you keep your energy up!).
Roles and Responsibilities:
- Safely directing vehicles along designated vehicle routes on site
- Checking accreditation for vehicles moving in restricted areas on site
- Providing clear, confident communication to drivers and festival-goers
- Supporting festival logistics to ensure smooth site operations
- Adhering to health & safety protocols and maintaining a secure environment
- Collaborating closely with other crew members to manage movement effectively
- Staying aware of your environment to ensure your own safety is paramount at all times
Skills and Experience:
- Previous customer service, stewarding, or similar experience required
- Confident, polite, and approachable – you’ll be interacting with festival-goers and crew
- Strong communication skills – a loud voice will be handy!
- Fluent in spoken English for clear and effective instructions
- Comfortable volunteering outdoors, on your feet in all weather conditions
This role profile is designed to give you a good idea of what it will be like volunteering with us on site, however due to the ever changing nature of festivals and events, our team is expected to be flexible and therefore roles are subject to change or adaptation to meet the needs at any time.
Festival stewarding is great fun, but it’s also physically demanding. This volunteering experience will require you to be on your feet for the duration of your shift.
Live In Vehicles: NB: We will not be able to confirm live in passes at the point of application, if an applicant’s position is dependent on them being guaranteed a van, that may mean they are declined.
Volunteer Supervisors
Any of you who have volunteered with us before know that we really can’t bring the magic to life without a superstar team of volunteer supervisors, and Glastonbury will be no different. We’re looking for experienced, dependable individuals to take on MCUK Supervisor roles to support our team, and as a thank you to anyone who is happy to step up as a supervisor, we will only be asking for 3 shifts from our volunteer supervisors at Glastonbury.
If you’ve got leadership experience – in festivals, events, or your day job – we would love you to step forward. If you have supervisor experience, be sure to include it in your PAAM profile with as much detail as possible. It will increase your chances of being selected for a supervisor role.
These positions are limited and come with added responsibility, so make sure your profile shows us what you bring to the table.
Compulsory Online Training: All Glastonbury volunteers will be required to attend an online two hour training session before arriving on-site. This training session will prepare you specifically for the role and for volunteering at the festival. Further details on how to indicate your training session preference will be made available to you if you are successful in your application.
Please only apply to join our MCUK volunteering team at Glastonbury if you can commit to attending one of these online training sessions.
Online training dates:
- Tue 10th June 18:30-20:30
- Thu 12th June 10:00-12:00
- Thu 12th June 18:30-20:30
- Sun 15th June 11:00-13:00
