Sam Pilcher Trust

Our vision is to create a sustainable trust to ensure every young person is supported during their most difficult days.

We help children, young adults and their support team. The Trust concentrates on helping patients during and after treatment at the Bristol Royal and Gloucester Royal Children’s Hospitals.

Because of our intimate experience with the very long journey of cancer we understand that every situation is unique and people’s needs are different.

We raise money from our own fundraising activities and we apply for grants from larger organisations and trusts who entrust us to spend their funds where it is most needed. 

The Sam Pilcher Trust offers uncomplicated support across many different areas of Bristol Children’s Hospital providing ‘extras’ to children and their families that make a difference. The hospital school has benefited from their generosity which includes quality display provision for children’s work, iPads and beautiful art resources.

Our close relationship with the trust has resulted in personal visits by them to distribute gifts to children and they have an empathy with parents which makes this contact so worthwhile. The Sam Pilcher Trust has a commitment to act upon the requests of professionals to help children and their families, whenever possible, and we know that it is greatly appreciated by staff, parents and of course the children.
