Emmaus

At Emmaus we’re working together to end homelessness.

We know that overcoming homelessness often means more than a roof over your head. That’s why Emmaus supports people to work their way out of homelessness, providing meaningful work as well as a stable home for as long as someone needs it.

By providing a stable home and meaningful work, we help companions to regain their self-esteem and find a positive way to move forward with their lives.

Their words from email – “This year, thanks to supporters like you, we can offer 25 spaces in our community, supporting people to rebuild their lives and help themselves out of homelessness. As well as a home, we also give formerly homeless people – companions in our community – bespoke support based on their individual training and employment needs.

We are proud to be a community that works. 2017 has seen us opening two new shops to help us fund what we do, as well as to give vital work experience to companions.  Please do continue to support us by donating good quality, saleable items, as well as shopping with us.
