How does it work?
Want to attend some of the UK’s greatest festivals for free? How about doing that whilst raising money for any charity you like without asking anybody for donations or sponsorship? If the answer is yes, then volunteering with My Cause UK is right for you!
I felt so welcome and part of an amazing community!
What will I do?
My Cause volunteers take on a variety of roles depending on the needs of the festival, including stewarding stages campsites and car parks, staffing gates, checking tickets and wrist banding, as well as bar staff, programme sales and almost everything in between!
My Cause UK lets us support so many charities, and their volunteers are fantastic!
Only 1 deposit to pay
To volunteer with My Cause, you will need to pay a deposit to act as a guarantee against your ticket… But don’t worry!
This deposit will be returned to you following the completion of your shifts, minus a small administration fee.
If you are volunteering at multiple events you wont need to pay multiple deposits either.
One deposit can be used to secure your space at all your My Cause UK festivals.
In exchange for you volunteering your time with us, we will make a cash donation to any charity you choose. All you have to do is complete your shifts and fill in our feedback form and we will donate directly to your nominated charity; it’s that simple! To date, more than 400 volunteers have helped us raise over £15,000 for more than 170 charities and we are growing every day. To see who we already support and to find out more about what they do, you can check out our who do we charities page.
“Working with My Cause UK offers our supporters a unique way of fundraising for ActionAid and has already raised us £320!”
My Cause volunteers must be aged 18 or over by the first day of their chosen event and will be asked to volunteer for a maximum of 3 x 8 hour shifts spread across the event period (typically between Wednesday and Monday for a weekend festival). Shifts for day events will vary depending on the role and nature of the event but all of our shifts are arranged to allow you as much time as possible to enjoy the festival.
Whats in it for me?
All of our volunteer positions will get you a crew wristband that will allow you to enjoy the event when you are not working, free tea and coffee and round the clock support from our amazing team of volunteer managers. For weekend camping events, you will also get perks like a free meal ticket for each shift worked, access to a dedicated crew camping area with hot showers and lots more! For more info head over to our FAQ section.
We will always let you know what type of roles are available when you apply, what the maximum amount of time you will need to volunteer will be and how much money we will donate to your nominated charity.
