Where and what
For one weekend a year Y Not Festival arrives in the Peak District.
Starting life as what should have been a house party in 2005, this festival overspilt into some of the most-stunning countryside around.
Some 13 years on, Y Not festival still has the same ethos at heart – bringing great people together to have a great time makes a great festival.
Expect a line-up you’ll never see anywhere else in the Peak District, alongside panoramic countryside views, a fully stocked bar of local ales, mouth-watering food, comedy and an epic paint fight.
All you need to bring is yourself, some wellies, a killer fancy dress outfit and a strong appreciation of colour.
Elbow, Two Door Cinema Club, FOALS, Franz Ferdinand, You Me At Six, Wolf Alice, Professor Green, Mahalia, The Subways, Miles Kane, The Hunna, IDLES, + MANY MORE…
Set in the sensational beauty of the Peak District, this festival boasts a jam-packed creative schedule, an epic music lineup and an unforgettable spectacle in their famous Y Not paint fight!
We’re looking for festival volunteers to help run the festival’s litter bond – an initiative to keep Y Not tidy. You’ll be required for no more than 24 hours across the weekend with no overnight shifts!
You’ll be there to welcome festival-goers and tell them about the eco bond initiative. You will give them a recycling bag and a bin bag and remind them that if they bring their filled bags to the ‘Litter Bond Exchange Point’ they will get £10 back on the price of their ticket!
In return, you’ll get free entry, a free meal for every shift, snacks, access to tea and coffee, a chill, charge and camping space with other volunteers and loads of time to enjoy the music.
**THIS IS NOT A LITTER PICKING ROLE!**
Why choose Y Not?
Go with your mates and not one of you will leave with the same story to tell. Enjoy great music, great food and carefree fun in the heart of the beautiful Peak District – no brainer!
