“The Stevie Wonder Song Party: A Celebration of Life, Love & Music,” will be a summer’s night not to miss. Stevie Wonder is one of the most celebrated and prominent figures in popular music who, at the age of 12, was the youngest recording artist to have achieved a #1 single with “Fingertips, Part 2”. To date he has amassed 49 Top Forty singles, 32 #1 singles and worldwide sales of over 100 million units. Stevie has won 25 Grammy Awards, the prestigious Grammy Lifetime Achievement Award, a Golden Globe and an Academy Award.
Lionel Richie will be amongst the very special guests sharing the Great Oak Stage on 6 July. In December 2017, Stevie Wonder performed a cover of ‘Easy’ at Richie’s Kennedy Center Honours ceremony, which left Richie visibly emotional. He later said, “I got into the business because I wanted to be like Stevie Wonder, so for all of a sudden for Stevie to be singing my song, it was surreal.”
Richie has a discography of albums and singles that are second to none. His music is part of the fabric of pop music; in fact, Richie is one of only two songwriters in history to achieve the honour of having #1 records for nine consecutive years.
Richie has sold more than 100 million albums worldwide and is an Oscar, a Golden Globe, and four-time Grammy Awards winner.
This is a 1x day event. We’re looking for festival volunteers to join our team as “Sustainability Ambassadors“; welcoming festival-goers as they approach recycling points across the festival site, and encouraging people to recycle where possible. This is a fantastic role, as our team will be at the heart of delivering a high-impact sustainable initiative, which will increase uptake on recycling, and also reinforce a cleaner, safer, and more eco-conscious festival experience. This is not a litter picking role.
We’re ideally looking for volunteers who are confident, passionate about sustainability and proactive in their thinking! You can volunteer to give your time at not just this show, but all of the other BST events, all for the price of one deposit!
Whatever you choose you will only have to pay one deposit to attend as many days as you want, it’s up to you.
You’ll be required for 1 x 6 hour shift per day you volunteer, finishing no later than 7pm. You’ll get free entry, training and support from an experienced team, a free lunch provided, snacks, access to tea and coffee, and loads of time to enjoy the headline acts at this epic event!
