We are aware of the recent announcements from a number of festivals that we are due to be taking volunteers to in the early part of the Summer. The team at HQ will be in touch shortly with volunteers who have signed up to any events which have now been postponed / cancelled, to outline the next steps.

It has been heartbreaking to see the range of festivals and live events that have been forced to cancel, however we respect that these decisions have not been taken lightly and are likely to reduce the risk of loss of life, which is of course paramount.

At present, our normal cancellation procedures apply if a volunteer chooses to cancel an event they are volunteering at.

As with our T’s & C’s, our cancellation policy clearly outlines that if you cancel an event, then a cancellation fee will be applicable.

If you do cancel an event you are volunteering at, then please do so ensuring that you email cancellations@mycauseuk.com and follow the steps outlined in our cancellation policy.

Lots of love,

HQ

The Coronavirus pandemic remains a rapidly evolving situation which we know is on all of our minds at this time. We wanted to share an update on what we are doing at My Cause UK in light of this situation.

The wellbeing, safety and health of our community of staff and volunteers is always of the utmost importance to us, and we are working flat out with our festival partners to ensure we are able to continue to provide them with our services, and our volunteers with a positive volunteering experience.

It has been heartbreaking to see the range of festivals and live events that have been forced to cancel, however we respect that these decisions have not been taken lightly and are likely to reduce the risk of loss of life, which is of course paramount. Please be assured that the safety and health of our volunteers is our main priority and we are implementing recommendations and instructions appropriately.

We are closely monitoring official guidance from the World Health Organisation, Public Health England, UK Government, local public health authorities and are working with event promoters and organisers as information evolves.

Because the situation is complex and evolving rapidly, the plans of the festivals that we are currently taking volunteers to across the UK may change. If they do, we’ll let you know.

In the unfortunate event that a festival is forced to cancel or reschedule, or for those which have been already cancelled or postponed, we will of course let volunteers who are signed up to that event know, and will lay out options for either transfer on to alternative events, information about potential rescheduled dates, or deposit refunds.

We will be in touch with the volunteers concerned to update them ASAP on the next steps.

With large numbers of people self isolating, and no doubt feeling rather upset and anxious about the whole situation, we would love to ask you to share any positive actions, thoughts and ideas for how our wonderful volunteers may be able to support their communities over on Facebook and Instagram.

Please reach out to us on our social channels and share your thoughts – we’re here for you.

If you have any questions, please don’t hesitate to contact us on hello@mycauseuk.com & we will do our best to get back to you as soon as possible.

Look out for one another, and be well.

Lots of love,

HQ
