The Downs Bristol 2017

“Bristol, its people and the Downs are so very magnificent.”

No one will ever forget Massive Attack’s homecoming gig on the Downs. Just watching the highlights gives us goosebumps! It’s not an easy gig to top, but this year The Downs Bristol goes large with two stages and something for everyone on the lineup. Dance music duo Groove Armada are set to headline stage two in what will be one of only a handful of UK sets this year. They will be joined by the one and only Roni Size, David Rodigan MBE, Mad Professor and Bristol Hi-Fi.

Meanwhile disco, soul, funk and hip hop will be the order of the day on the main stage as old-time legends Soul II Soul and De La Soul warm the crowd up for rocker Seasick Steve. But it’s Elbow who we’ll be throwing those curtains wide for at the end of the day. We can imagine the singalong already. We don’t even care if it rains again…
